Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is meant to raise workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
