Genie hybrid, bi-energy systems are available for applications where the equipment should drive long-distances. These models combine the best of both worlds, using the flexibility of diesel-powered generators and the positives of a 48V DC machinery.



Genie DC units have systems on-board to charge the battery and offer the operator with long battery life between charges. When being charged overnight or between shifts, there is a 30 amp universal smart charger system that will automatically convert to the AC voltage frequency and input. To save unnecessary power usage which would cost your company this charging system would automatically shut down when the battery pack has reached full charge. Genie DC models provide proportional drive and lift controls which help the user to use smooth and accurate movements and regulate the speed of each function. This ensures precise positioning with each lift. On non-jib units, the self-levelling platform rotates to 90 in either direction. For jib models, the jib can rotate 80 in either direction as well as 135 to 139 degrees vertically, depending on the model utilized. Working heights range from 12.52 meters to 15.94 meters, that depends on the unit. Genie DC lifts are stable when rotating the turntable in confined spaces. Due to lack of tailswing, repositioning of the lift while rotating the turntable is not required. Up and over reach on these kinds of machinery is great for working in small spaces and the compact model size is ideal for when lighter weight equipment are needed.
