CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their goals because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Usually, these units are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the great choice for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Since the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile equipment. These units come in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units carry out tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to utilizing boom lifts so as to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require many more man power to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have revolutionized the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
