The Carriage
Similar to conventional forklifts, the lifting attachment could be tilted from its horizontal position to backwards and forwards. The actual possible amount of tilt completely exceeds that of vertical mast lift trucks. There is a large range of available lifting attachments, and this ability to position makes them as effective as possible.
Most telehandlers can tilt forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! Furthermore, many models provide rotating carriages as well. This allows the operator to adjust the lifting attachment radially. This translates to the load being capable of being tilted backwards and forwards, and side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity rather similar to that of the vertical mast unit. The unit's overall capacity would be dependent on things such as: boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. What's more, which lifting attachment plays an main part, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on et cetera. All of these specifics could be changing on a regular basis and this gives the operator much more information to think about.
Normally, telehandlers have several load charts available in order for the operator to reference so they could know the load capacity of a particular lift. Depending on the boom's configuration and the model in particular, the load capacity could differ by thousands of pounds all together.
