Hyster lift trucks have many standard and optional feature in order to make each and every machine safer for the operator and other workers within the work site area. Some of the available features are safety lights, audible devices, operator restraint systems, and ergonomic operator compartments.



Visual safety devices such as LED strobe lights could help to alert other individuals that there is a forklift nearby. There is a low-mounted strobe light that includes a shield to help prevent the light shining into the operator's eyes.



Audible warning devices like reverse operation alarms, that automatically sound when the lift truck is in reverse, alert other individuals of the presence of a lift truck within the area. A rear drive handle with horn allows the operator's hand to be secure when backing-up. This inboard handle protects the operator's hand in case of impact and the handle has a horn that allows the driver to sound the horn without moving their hand to the main steering wheel.



The operator restraint systems help to keep the operator safe in case of a lift truck flip over. The restraint system functions by keeping the driver's torso and head inside the cab of the truck which will help them to avoid serious injury. Anti-Cinch Seat Belt and Hip Restraints are standard features on all types of Yale/Hyster lift trucks. For older Yale/Hyster forklifts, safety restraint systems are available for installation on most units.



The Hyster StanDrive E30-40HSD2 series of forklifts provides superb ergonomics. Available in 4,000 or 3,000 pound capacities, these forklifts are strong and versatile, as well as ergonomically designed to enhance productivity and improve driver comfort. In order to increase driver visibility and comfort, the controls allow the driver to stand at 45 degrees or in side-stance.
