The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both productivity and effectiveness.
