A lift truck to be a successful model must be built powerful to last the working environments for numerous hours of use. It needs to be able to move cargo quickly and efficiently as well. The machinery should be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator as well.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It needs to be strong enough to always provide amazing durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with robust gears and really tough shafts. The engine, transmission, drive and steer axle are all isolated to decrease both noise and vibration inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These machinery offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimal adjustment or repair. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Both the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engine provide a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by effective fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts which maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available which automatically adjusts so as to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to increase durability, extend the life of the tires and to eliminate shock loading. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is designed for extra strength with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This specific component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are basically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of safety features and ergonomic features. These equipment will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
